Description

Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of patching activities for Azure-based cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute patching for virtual machines, containers, and managed services to ensure security and compliance.
• Implement automated patching solutions using Azure Update Management.
• Assess infrastructure to identify patching needs and prioritize resources based on criticality.
• Monitor vulnerabilities and assess risks associated with missing patches.
• Maintain detailed documentation of processes, schedules, and compliance reports for audits.

Required Skills

• 2+ years of focused experience managing patching and updates in Azure cloud environments.
• Proficiency with Azure Update Management, Azure Policy, and monitoring tools.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
• Experience using Azure Automation, Azure CLI, and Azure DevOps or other CI/CD tools.
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and vulnerability management.
• Knowledge of Kenna and Vulnerability Assessment processes.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes regarding change and incident management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Skills

• Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AKS, and patching strategies for containerized applications.
• Experience managing hybrid cloud environments.
