You will define and build end-to-end data platforms on Azure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Define data platform reference architectures using Azure Synapse, Fabric, Databricks, and Data Lake Storage Gen2.
• Establish dimensional, 3NF, and Data Vault models while setting coding standards for SQL, T-SQL, and PySpark.
• Architect and implement ETL/ELT pipelines using ADF, Synapse Pipelines, and Databricks orchestration.
• Implement data governance via Microsoft Purview and enforce security using Azure AD, RBAC, and Private Endpoints.
• Own FinOps for data platforms, managing capacity planning, cost governance, and performance tuning.

Required Skills

• 7+ years in data architecture/engineering, with 3–5 years specifically on Azure data services.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, and Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, Semantic Models).
• Proficiency in SQL, T-SQL, and PySpark, with a solid understanding of metadata management.
• Experience architecting solutions using Delta Lake, Parquet, and data ingestion patterns (batch, streaming, CDC).
• Familiarity with streaming technologies like Kafka, Event Hubs, and Service Bus.
• Competence in security fundamentals: Azure AD, RBAC, Key Vault, and Managed Identities.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep) and CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience with Power BI and DAX for semantic modeling.
