Description

You will design and implement scalable data architecture solutions on Microsoft Azure.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead data modernization and migration projects from on-premises environments to Azure.
• Develop and manage Azure data services including Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL, Databricks, Data Factory, and Purview.
• Create data models, data flow diagrams, and metadata documentation.
• Implement best practices for ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehousing, and governance.
• Monitor and optimize the performance, availability, and cost of cloud data solutions.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in data architecture or related roles.
• 3+ years of experience designing solutions specifically in Microsoft Azure.
• Expertise with Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and Azure SQL Database/Managed Instances.
• Proficiency with Azure Databricks, Spark, and Power BI integration.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling (OLTP and OLAP), data governance, and master data management.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and/or Scala.
• Understanding of data security and compliance standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD for data pipelines using Azure DevOps.
