Description

You will design and build enterprise-scale data platforms and lakehouses on AWS, owning the architecture for streaming, storage, and analytics.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement data solutions using AWS S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, EMR, and Lambda.
• Build and maintain high-throughput streaming pipelines using Kinesis and Kafka (MSK).
• Design distributed data processing systems leveraging Spark and Hadoop for large-scale analytics.
• Define and enforce security, governance, and compliance frameworks across data assets.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to align data strategy with enterprise goals.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture roles.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience designing data platforms specifically on AWS.
• Deep expertise with AWS S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, EMR, and Lambda.
• Strong proficiency with streaming services: Kinesis and Kafka (MSK).
• Advanced SQL skills and experience with data modeling for analytics.
• Solid understanding of distributed data processing (Spark, Hadoop).
• Proficiency in at least one data processing language: Python, Scala, or Java.

Preferred Skills

• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect – Professional, Data Analytics – Specialty).
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with enterprise data governance tools and metadata management.
