Description

Design and maintain backend data solutions within an Azure cloud environment. You will own the full lifecycle of data services, from modeling to production deployment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data solutions using Azure SQL, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and GraphQL.
• Build and manage scalable services using Azure Functions, Batch Service, Service Bus, Event Grid, and API Management.
• Apply a DevOps mindset to deliver high-quality code with integrated logging, alerting, and monitoring via App Insights.
• Maintain data integrity through strong data modeling and lineage practices.
• Debug and resolve complex production issues in a cloud-hosted environment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a hands-on Backend Software Engineer in an agile environment.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, Python, and C#.
• Experience with ETL tools including Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
• Knowledge of architectural patterns: Data Warehousing, Medallion Architecture, Microservices, and Event-based Architecture.
• Experience deploying production services using Azure Functions, Azure Batch Service, and Azure API Management.
• Strong background in data modeling and data lineage.
• Proficiency with Git for source control and code management.
• Experience with GraphQL.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or comparable work experience.

Preferred Skills

• Cloud infrastructure experience with Terraform, Azure DevOps, Web Apps, and DBT.
