Description

Lead onsite Azure Databricks data engineering initiatives and manage offshore development teams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Supervise offshore teams, assign work, review deliverables, and enforce best practices.
• Design and orchestrate ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks.
• Implement batch data ingestion and transformations with PySpark and Spark SQL.
• Architect and maintain Lakehouse and analytical warehouse models using Delta Lake.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, lineage, and governance across the platform.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Azure Databricks and Delta Lake.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and understanding of distributed data processing.
• Proven experience leading, mentoring, or supervising data engineering teams.
• Knowledge of data security, access management, and RBAC.
• Hands-on experience with Pyspark, Spark, and ETL/ELT processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience managing remote or offshore development teams.
