Description

Lead data engineering initiatives and manage technical teams within the retail and CPG domain.

Responsibilities

• Design solution options, evaluate technical feasibility, and provide effort and risk estimates.
• Lead, influence, and communicate technical decisions across business, product, and architecture teams.
• Analyze large, complex datasets to deliver actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Participate in key architectural and technical decision-making processes.
• Identify, hire, and mentor engineering talent while resolving people and process issues.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in the Retail or CPG industry.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in people management or team lead roles.
• Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and Azure Databricks.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and architecture patterns.
• Experience with data sources including Circana/IRI, Nielsen, Retailer POS, and Numerator/Nielsen Panel data.
• Practical experience in Agile/Scrum application development.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of ML/AI concepts.
• Familiarity with Domain Driven Design principles.
