Description

You will lead the Azure Data Engineering tracks, taking end-to-end ownership of data ingestion from source systems and building models for end-user consumption.

Responsibilities

• Design technical architecture for the data platform in collaboration with Product Owners and stakeholders.
• Set software engineering standards and lead technical workshops with business units.
• Own technical product backlogs and ensure timely delivery of requirements.
• Refactor code into reusable libraries, APIs, and tools to improve production quality.
• Identify, track, and escalate technical risks to leadership.

Required Skills

• 10-15 years of overall professional experience, with 7-10 years focused on Azure Data Engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks, Data Factory, Cosmos DB, Azure Functions, and Synapse.
• Proficiency in SQL and PySpark SQL.
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles and architectural design for public cloud.
• Experience with Big Data technologies, specifically Spark.
• Ability to author and review system design documents for enterprise-scale solutions.
• Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-200) and Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of data hygiene procedures, identity resolution, and data management.
• Familiarity with industry best practices for data collection and usage.
