Description

You will lead the Azure Data Engineering tracks within the Data Office, owning the end-to-end process of ingesting data from source systems and building consumption models.

Responsibilities

• Design technical architecture for the data platform in collaboration with Product Owners and stakeholders.
• Set software engineering standards and lead team meetings and workshops with business units.
• Own technical product backlogs and ensure timely delivery of engineering tasks.
• Produce high-quality code and refactor existing logic into reusable libraries, APIs, and tools.
• Identify, track, and escalate technical risks to leadership.

Required Skills

• 10 to 15 years of overall professional experience, with 7 to 10 years focused on Azure Data Engineering.
• Deep expertise in Azure services including Databricks, Data Factory, Cosmos DB, Azure Functions, and Synapse.
• Strong proficiency in Spark and Big Data technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and PySpark SQL.
• Experience architecting software solutions on public cloud environments.
• Ability to author and review system design documents for enterprise-scale solutions.
• Practical experience working within Agile delivery frameworks.
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles and architectural design.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-200) and Azure DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data hygiene procedures, identity resolution, or data management.
• Familiarity with industry best practices for data collection and usage.
