Description

You will design and maintain the overall architecture for data platforms in alignment with enterprise strategy and architectural roadmaps.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect solutions to meet functional and non-functional requirements, including multi-tier service design.
• Lead data engineering teams in developing platforms and managing data migration for small to medium-sized projects.
• Govern the implementation of transformation solutions, test strategies, and deployment strategies.
• Create and review architecture artifacts while enforcing adherence to architectural standards and principles.
• Resolve escalated design and implementation issues of moderate to high complexity.
• Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks, assumptions, issues, and decisions throughout the full lifecycle.

Required Skills

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with architectures on a Microsoft Azure-based platform.
• Azure Certification (Certified Architect).
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL coding for queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Experience with Azure Databricks, Databricks Delta Lake, and Azure Data Factory (ADF) including metadata-driven pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Synapse Studio, ADLS, Azure Functions, and Azure Key Vault.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure integration with Active Directory, and cloud connectivity.
• Strong background in MS SQL Server, SSMS, and SSIS package ETL implementation.
• Coding experience in C#, .NET Core, Java, JavaScript, PowerShell, or Bash.
• Experience building platforms using cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, including serverless and container-based architectures.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with resilient, highly available, multi-geo, and mission-critical technology components.
