Description

You will lead the migration and modernization of the Enterprise Data Warehouse to an Azure Cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of the EDW to Azure using Databricks, Delta Lake, Synapse, and related services.
• Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Apache Spark, and Python.
• Act as technical lead for data modeling, cleansing, and integration with enterprise health applications.
• Gather business and technical requirements to implement efficient data warehousing designs.
• Produce technical documentation including diagrams, specifications, and test plans.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data warehouse development and ETL/ELT within Azure environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Apache Spark.
• Proficiency in Python and T-SQL.
• Strong SQL Server skills including SSIS and BI/data warehousing tools.
• Experience as an Azure DevOps CI/CD Release Manager, including monorepo environments.
• Advanced knowledge of relational and dimensional databases, star schema, facts, and dimensions.
• Experience in data engineering, including cleansing, extraction, transformation, and modeling.
• Proven experience with data mining, analytics, and API development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience with public health or healthcare datasets and applications.
• Familiarity with DOH systems such as PA NEDSS NextGen, PA LIMS Replacement, or Reporting Hub.
