Description

You will lead the design, construction, and maintenance of a modern Azure-based Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to support statewide reporting and decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration and modernization of the EDW to Azure Cloud using Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Synapse, and related services.
• Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Apache Spark, and Python.
• Serve as technical lead for data modeling, formatting, cleansing, and integration with enterprise health applications.
• Gather business/technical requirements, recommend solutions, and implement efficient data warehousing designs.
• Produce technical documentation, including diagrams, flowcharts, and specifications, and ensure compliance with federal and commonwealth standards.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data warehouse development and ELT/ETL in Azure environments.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Apache Spark, and Python.
• Strong SQL Server skills, including T-SQL and SSIS.
• Experience with relational and dimensional databases, including star schema methodologies.
• Proven data engineering skills: data cleansing, extraction, transformation, modeling, and reporting.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps CI/CD Release Manager and monorepo environments.
• Experience in data mining, analytics, and API development.
