Description

Lead architecture design and implementation for modern data platforms at enterprise scale.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer discussions and define architecture for scalable data initiatives.
• Drive DataOps processes including CI/CD, observability, automation, and testing.
• Build reusable frameworks, runbooks, and modules to accelerate delivery.
• Mentor engineers on architectural best practices and performance tuning.
• Serve as a strategic partner to leadership on governance and modernization.

Required Skills

• 15+ years in data architecture and engineering.
• Deep hands-on experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, Notebooks, Workflows, Unity Catalog).
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, PySpark, and REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services: ADF, Stored Procedures, Purview, Azure DevOps.
• Experience with DataOps, MLOps, and AIOps principles.
• Familiarity with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and AI/ML.
• Experience with enterprise data governance, catalogues, and lineage.

Preferred Skills

• Azure and/or Databricks certifications.
• Experience in regulated industries, particularly Energy and Utilities.
