Description

Lead the implementation, operation, and scaling of a new Azure Databricks data platform.

Responsibilities

• Implement Azure Databricks in a scalable manner by working closely with stakeholders.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to increase security and reliability.
• Configure Databricks to ensure it meets the requirements of engineering teams.
• Apply behaviour-driven design principles to align stakeholders and developers on quality, security, and compliance.
• Drive the integration of cloud solutions and software products with minimal guidance.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience working with Azure cloud tools.
• Proven experience implementing Azure Databricks within a large organisation.
• Strong programming skills in Python and at least one other language, such as Java or SQL.
• Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern build, test, and deployment tools.
• Ability to write, refactor, and maintain high-quality code.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Experience working in a regulated industry.
