Description

You will lead the design and execution of database migrations from on-premises and Azure environments to target cloud platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Analyze transactional database environments including Oracle, SQL Server, Cosmos, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra to plan migrations.
• Develop and enhance PL/SQL and T-SQL scripts to facilitate data movement from source to target databases.
• Identify and resolve technical workarounds for specific migration issues and corner scenarios.
• Create test plans and test cases to verify database readiness and integrity post-migration.
• Document detailed design specifications and migration procedures for deployment from Dev to Prod.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of experience in database design, development, and migration on Azure.
• Hands-on expertise with Oracle, SQL Server, Cosmos, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Cassandra.
• Proficiency in Oracle DBA and SQL DBA tasks.
• Strong command of MySQL and MariaDB.
• Ability to work with bash and python for automation or scripting.
• Masters or Bachelor's degree in engineering.
