Description

You will manage operational aspects of cloud-native and hybrid data platform solutions built with Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Azure Data Services.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade SQL Server software and related products.
• Design, create, and maintain SQL Server databases to ensure recoverability.
• Manage SQL database backups, restores, and recoveries.
• Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and index management.
• Control user access and maintain database security protocols.
• Allocate system storage and develop plans for future storage requirements.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in database administration.
• Expertise in Azure SQL, SQL 2017, and Azure Data Services.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, SQL tuning, and query optimization.
• Experience with Azure Data Warehouse.
• Knowledge of SQL database backup, restore, and recovery procedures.
• Background working within the Logistics or Supply Chain industry.
• Experience with SQL server clustering, log shipping, and mirroring.
• Ability to use performance monitor, SQL Profiler, and other troubleshooting tools.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Azure certification.
• PowerShell scripting and SSIS knowledge.
