Key Responsibilities:

Azure Infrastructure Administration

• Deploy, configure, and manage Azure resources to include - Virtual Machines (VMs), Azure Storage Accounts, Azure App Services, and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)

• Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization

• Manage Azure subscriptions, resource groups, and policies

Cloud Networking

• Design and maintain Azure networking components: Virtual Networks, VNets), Subnets, Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall

• Configure and manage: VPN Gateway (Site-to-Site, Point-to-Site), Azure ExpressRoute, Load Balancers and Application Gateways

• Implement network segmentation, routing, and traffic flow optimization

• Troubleshoot connectivity issues across hybrid and cloud environments

Security & Compliance

• Implement Azure security best practices: Identity management with Azure Active Directory (AAD), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Azure Defender / Microsoft Defender for Cloud

• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements

• Configure and manage firewalls, DDoS protection, and endpoint security

Automation & DevOps

• Automate deployments using: ARM templates / Bicep / Terraform and Azure CLI / PowerShell

• Integrate CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices

Monitoring & Troubleshooting

• Configure monitoring tools: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Network Watcher

• Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks and outages

• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field

• Solid 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure administration

• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VPNs, firewalls

• Hands-on experience with Azure networking services and hybrid environments

• Experience with scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
