Description

You serve as the final escalation point for Azure incidents, diagnosing complex infrastructure and platform issues to restore service. You lead root cause analysis, implement preventive actions, and design high-availability solutions while mentoring junior engineers.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Resolve critical Azure incidents and service outages across Compute, Networking, Storage, and PaaS services.
• Configure and troubleshoot VNet Peering, NSG, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, and ExpressRoute.
• Perform deep-dive troubleshooting for Azure VMs, VMSS, AKS, App Services, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and Functions.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive actions to enhance system reliability.
• Automate operational tasks using PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM/Bicep, or Terraform and mentor L1/L2 engineers.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS).
• Expertise in Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure Networking.
• Strong command of PowerShell and Azure CLI for automation and management.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and RBAC/IAM.
• Proficiency in configuring Azure Firewall, NSG, Load Balancers, and Application Gateways.
• Experience with ExpressRoute, VPN Connectivity, and Azure Storage Services.
• Familiarity with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, and incident management.
• Ability to design High Availability, Disaster Recovery, and Resiliency solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ARM Templates, Bicep, or Terraform for infrastructure as code.
• Knowledge of Azure Governance, Policies, and Security Best Practices (Key Vault, Defender for Cloud).
