Description

You will manage and optimize SQL Server environments within the Azure ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Manage Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
• Design and implement HA/DR solutions using geo-replication, failover groups, and AlwaysOn AGs.
• Optimize database performance through T-SQL tuning, index strategies, and execution plan analysis.
• Deploy database infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) patterns.
• Monitor database health, Azure networking, identity (AAD), and cloud costs.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure SQL.
• Expertise in T-SQL, query tuning, and index management.
• Experience with Azure networking, AAD, and database monitoring.
• Proficiency with PowerShell and automation workflows.
• Experience using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for database deployments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating database management with DevOps practices.
