Description

Design and implement scalable cloud architectures within the Azure ecosystem, leading legacy modernization initiatives for insurance systems.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable applications using microservices architectures and containers.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs using standard guidelines, management tools, and authentication mechanisms.
• Lead legacy modernization initiatives, specifically within insurance policy administration, claims, or billing systems.
• Manage automated deployment, testing, and version control within a DevOps framework.

Required Skills

• 15+ years of software development experience with deep knowledge of object-oriented principles and agile practices.
• 8+ years of experience implementing solutions using the Microsoft tech stack, specifically .NET Core and C#.
• Extensive experience with Azure services, including Logic Apps, Function Apps, Blob storage, and API Management (APIM).
• Strong background in API technologies: REST, JSON, Swagger, and authentication protocols including OAuth2, JWT, and TLS.
• Proficiency in SQL Server database design and usage.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps principles, Git, source control, branching, and automated testing.
• Expertise in Test Driven Design (TDD), unit testing, and automated testing frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Insurance domain expertise, specifically P&C and systems like Duck Creek or Guidewire.
• Experience with legacy modernization in the insurance sector.
