Description

Lead application and workload migration discovery, assessment, and planning while driving execution governance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Partner with application owners, security, and operations to collect technical inputs and determine migration readiness.
• Design Azure Subscriptions and Landing Zones using the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework and Azure Well-Architected Framework.
• Perform migration assessments, dependency mapping, and sizing to define clear migration strategies per workload.
• Create migration waves and sequencing plans that account for dependencies, business calendars, and cutover complexity.
• Produce assessment outputs, dependency diagrams, and target approach documentation.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of IT experience.
• Expertise in Azure Subscriptions, Landing Zones, and Azure Migrate.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Site Recovery (ASR), Azure Database Migration Service (DMS), and AzCopy.
• Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and/or Python for discovery and assessment reporting.
• Experience with Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
• Familiarity with Azure Arc and migration of Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong documentation discipline.

Preferred Skills

• Experience defining and running a 'migration factory' operating model.
• Experience assessing legacy Azure tenants for legal hold and defining long-term retention strategies.
