Description

You will design, build, and deploy Azure SQL PaaS and IaaS solutions to meet application requirements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure SQL solutions, including Azure SQL DB, Managed Instance, and Hyperscale.
• Automate database builds using Terraform or Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Own high-availability, disaster recovery, backup, and performance tuning strategies.
• Monitor database health and performance using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on capacity planning, licensing optimization, and cost governance.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure SQL.
• Expertise in Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
• Advanced T-SQL, query tuning, index strategies, and execution plan analysis.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) for database deployments.
• Deep understanding of Azure networking, Azure Active Directory (AAD), and cost management.
• Expertise in HA/DR designs, including geo-replication, failover groups, and AlwaysOn AGs.
• Familiarity with DevOps automation using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or PowerShell.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Azure Certifications (DP-300, AZ-104, or AZ-305).
• Experience with hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.
