Description

You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert for Azure SQL database implementations and infrastructure design.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Install, deploy, and configure Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Define standards for database setup, networking best practices, and security protocols.
• Collaborate with automation engineers to provide database options for infrastructure as code provisioning.
• Design and implement Disaster Recovery solutions.
• Advise application teams and production DBAs on Azure PaaS options and best practices.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in database administration or engineering.
• Deep understanding of the Azure platform and its database service offerings.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Experience with Azure networking configurations.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) patterns for database provisioning.
• Expertise in establishing database security standards and best practices.
• Experience supporting production database use cases.
• Ability to design Disaster Recovery architectures.

Preferred Skills

• Graduate degree required.
