Description

Manage Azure SQL Server environments with a focus on security, governance, and high availability. Own the full lifecycle of database instances from installation and configuration to migration and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and migrate Azure SQL Server instances across environments.
• Manage authentication methods, user roles, and access controls to enforce security policies.
• Configure server-side security and networking settings to ensure secure data access.
• Define and implement governance requirements for database operations and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and resolve operational incidents promptly.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of hands-on experience as an Azure SQL Server DBA.
• Proficiency in Azure SQL Server installation, configuration, and management.
• Strong understanding of SQL Server authentication methods and identity management.
• Experience defining and enforcing database governance and compliance standards.
• Ability to configure and manage server-side networking and security settings.
• Proven track record in migrating and troubleshooting complex Azure SQL environments.
