Description

You will architect, deploy, and manage Azure SQL PaaS and IaaS solutions to meet application requirements.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy Azure SQL solutions, including Azure SQL DB, Managed Instance, and Hyperscale.
• Automate database builds and deployments using Terraform and Azure DevOps pipelines.
• Own high-availability, disaster recovery, backup, and performance tuning strategies.
• Monitor database health, storage, and performance using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
• Define and enforce database security, compliance, and encryption policies.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA with at least 4+ years focused on Azure SQL.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, query tuning, index strategies, and execution plans.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Deep knowledge of Azure networking, identity (AAD), and cost management.
• Expertise in HA/DR designs, including geo-replication, failover groups, and AlwaysOn AGs.
• Familiarity with DevOps automation using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or PowerShell.

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Azure Certifications (DP-300, AZ-104, or AZ-305).
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB, or hybrid cloud/on-prem environments.
