Description

You will design, develop, and maintain SQL databases and data pipelines within the Azure cloud environment. This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop SQL databases, stored procedures, views, functions, and triggers in Azure SQL.
• Build and optimize ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Synapse, or Databricks.
• Ensure database performance, security, and reliability through query optimization and indexing strategies.
• Integrate database components with applications in collaboration with development teams.
• Manage data migrations between on-premise SQL Server and Azure environments.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in SQL development, including 2+ years in Azure Cloud.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, and Azure Storage.
• Proficiency in T-SQL, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, and window functions.
• Experience with query performance tuning, execution plans, and index optimization.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, database normalization, and design principles.
• Experience implementing CI/CD for database changes using Azure DevOps or Git.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with NoSQL databases, specifically Cosmos DB.
• Knowledge of data lake architecture and data warehousing concepts.
