Description

You will manage Azure Virtual Desktop production environments, ensuring high availability through SRE and DevOps practices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage production and UAT AVD environments, executing disaster recovery activities.
• Apply SRE and DevOps frameworks to automate monitoring and product support.
• Implement synthetic testing to replace manual health checks and automate reporting.
• Partner with Monitoring and EUC functions to improve service availability.
• Participate in an on-call rota for incident management during off-hours and weekends.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of technical experience, focusing on SRE or DevOps in AVD environments.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting (3+ years) for automating Windows desktop and virtual environments.
• 3+ years configuring monitoring and hands-free healing using Azure Monitor, AVD Insights, Systrack, New Relic, or Citrix Analytics.
• 2+ years implementing Azure automation products including Azure Functions, Azure Runbooks, Power Platform, or Azure OpenAI Integration.
• 2+ years managing Citrix virtual tools such as Citrix WEB/UPM.
• 2+ years automating AVD reporting using PowerBI.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including incident and problem management.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Citrix Director or Citrix DaaS.
