Description

You will design, build, and operate integrations between 7-Eleven and third-party MarTech and ad-tech vendors, ensuring reliable data flow for retail media and audience activation.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain REST and event-driven APIs, including batch and streaming data feeds into enterprise data lakes and activation platforms.
• Develop business-friendly interfaces and tooling on the orchestration layer, enabling marketers and analysts to operate without engineering support.
• Partner with data platform, DevOps, and InfoSec teams to secure, govern, and land external data, including cross-account ingestion and schema validation.
• Translate vendor API contracts into production-ready, well-tested services, leveraging AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery.

Required Skills

• 6+ years building backend services and APIs using Node.js, Spring/Java, Python, or similar.
• 6+ years integrating third-party vendor APIs with authentication patterns like OAuth and IAM roles.
• 6+ years with data pipelines and stores, including SQL, NoSQL, and streaming tools like Kafka.
• 6+ years with AWS cloud services (S3, IAM, serverless) and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Working knowledge of frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js) to build internal tooling.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or relevant experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Databricks and lakehouse patterns.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
