Description

You will own and build core backend systems from inception through optimization.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own backend architecture for core product verticals, from design through delivery and ongoing optimization.
• Lead and mentor 2-3 junior engineers while remaining hands-on with critical feature development.
• Design and build APIs using Python frameworks serving web and mobile applications.
• Build and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure, implementing containerization with Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Establish engineering best practices including CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and testing strategies.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of experience building and shipping production backend systems.
• Strong expertise in Python backend frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in production.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including deployment and security.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and MongoDB for complex data modeling.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana and building observable systems.
• Strong background in API design, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring junior engineers.

Preferred Skills

• Integration with third-party AI services and voice technologies.
• Ability to make pragmatic technical decisions balancing quality with speed of execution.
