Description

You will build and maintain backend services using a Java-based microservices architecture.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Configure and develop Java REST services that produce and consume messages from Kafka, RabbitMQ, or GCP Pub/Sub.
• Containerize Java applications using Docker and manage local service spin-up.
• Implement caching mechanisms using EHCache, Redis, or Memcached.
• Develop and maintain code quality through unit testing (JUnit/Smock) and static analysis.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.

Required Skills

• 10+ years developing Micro-services and J2EE applications using Java 8, Java 11, or Java 17.
• Expertise with Java, Groovy, Spring Boot, and Spring JPA.
• Experience integrating with messaging queues like Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Proficiency with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.
• Experience using version control systems like GitHub.
• Familiarity with database technologies including Oracle and Cassandra.
• Experience testing web services using Postman.
• Comfortable executing UNIX commands in development environments.
