Build and maintain scalable backend services within a distributed, agile environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Own all stages of the software development lifecycle, from requirements and architecture to deployment and support.
• Develop and implement microservices using JVM-based languages.
• Automate deployment, releases, and testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using mocking frameworks.
• Mentor team members on coding practices, design principles, and maintainable implementation patterns.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of recent professional experience actively coding as a back-end engineer.
• Proficiency in JVM languages such as Java (8+), Scala, or Kotlin.
• Experience with Spring or SpringBoot frameworks and dependency injection.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud technologies including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Academic qualification in Computer Science, STEM, or a related field.
• Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data streaming and processing using Kafka or Spark.
• Familiarity with distributed tracing and monitoring tools like Prometheus or ELK stack.
• Knowledge of security frameworks including Spring Security, SSL, TLS, and HTTPS.
