Description

You will develop and maintain web-based interfaces and back-end services using PHP and MySQL/MariaDB.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Build and enhance user interfaces using HTML, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript.
• Develop back-end logic using PHP, including legacy versions and CakePHP MVC frameworks.
• Manage database queries using MySQL/MariaDB, Oracle, and MSSQL.
• Support Linux (Debian-based) and Apache web server infrastructure.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to incorporate user feedback and usability findings.

Required Skills

• Strong proficiency in PHP (current and legacy versions) and MySQL/MariaDB.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, SASS, and JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of revision control systems like Git or SVN.
• Background in system administration or supporting Linux web servers.
• Familiarity with LDAP for web-based authentication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of software development experience.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with CakePHP (v2-4.5).
• Experience with UX design principles, wireframing, and prototyping.
• Knowledge of Oracle and MSSQL query optimization.
