Description

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based systems and distributed applications.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex requirements into clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Own production issues from root cause analysis to resolution through live on-call rotation.
• Optimize algorithms, data usage, and cloud services for latency, availability, and cost.
• Write unit and integration tests and implement observability practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and partner with product, design, security, and compliance teams.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in backend engineering or equivalent advanced education.
• Proficiency in Java as a primary development language.
• Experience leading projects from architectural design through to production.
• Expertise in distributed systems, databases, security, or fintech domains.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
• Proficiency with Git and DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrable history of leading significant technical initiatives and building engineering teams.
• Experience with 24/7 operation of production services and live on-call support.
• Strong understanding of security best practices for enterprise applications.
