Architect scalable, secure, and observable distributed systems with integrated AI capabilities. You will define service strategies, design inference systems, and ensure operational excellence across enterprise platforms.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, secure, and observable distributed systems, including microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Define service architecture strategies, including APIs, data contracts, and runtime platforms across multiple teams.
• Design intelligent service flows, including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) and agent-based architectures.
• Integrate LLMs and Generative AI services, optimizing inference systems for routing, batching, and cost.
• Partner with product, security, and SRE teams to translate business requirements into resilient technical solutions.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering and system design.
• Hands-on experience with Node.js/TypeScript, Java/Kotlin, .NET, Python, or Go.
• Deep understanding of consistency models, caching strategies, resilience patterns, and fault tolerance.
• Strong background in operational excellence: observability, performance tuning, incident response, and reliability engineering.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred; Azure/GCP acceptable).
• Proficiency with data and streaming technologies: SQL, NoSQL, Kafka, and Redis.
• Knowledge of API gateways, service mesh, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated testing.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with prompt engineering, evaluation techniques, and AI quality metrics.
• Understanding of AI safety, governance, and responsible AI principles.
• Knowledge of AI-driven analytics and telemetry for monitoring model performance.
