Description

Design and maintain scalable backend services and APIs in cloud-native environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate cloud-native microservices for Kubernetes deployment using Node.js (NestJS) and Python.
• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Develop and optimize database integrations with DB2 and MongoDB.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using OAuth 2.0 and JWT, applying OWASP secure coding standards.
• Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and API tests to ensure high code quality.

Required Skills

• 3–5 years of professional API development experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong backend development experience with Node.js, NestJS, and Python.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes concepts, including Pods, Services, Deployments, Secrets, and ConfigMaps.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB and DB2 or other enterprise relational databases.
• Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Jest and Postman.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with Git-based source control systems.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Experience deploying applications on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
