Description

Design and own the architecture for distributed backend systems, driving technical strategy and delivery of complex projects.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable microservices and event-driven systems using TypeScript and Node.js.
• Design and deploy infrastructure on AWS (Lambda, ECS, API Gateway) with a focus on resilience patterns.
• Lead technical delivery, mentoring developers, and conducting rigorous technical interviews.
• Optimize system performance and scaling strategies through profiling and architectural improvements.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in architecture roles.
• Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven design.
• Production experience with AWS services, specifically DynamoDB, Lambda, ECS, and API Gateway.
• Strong knowledge of Kafka or similar event streaming platforms.
• Proficiency in implementing resilience patterns (circuit breakers, retries, bulkheads, timeouts).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with observability tools (DataDog, Splunk, New Relic, CloudWatch, Grafana).
• Background in SRE practices, DevOps methodologies, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK).
