Description

You will build and maintain backend services using Node.js.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices using Node.js (Express.js or NestJS).
• Optimize Node.js runtime and API response times, implementing caching solutions like Redis.
• Design and maintain Node.js consumers and producers for event-driven microservices using Kafka.
• Implement observability practices using OpenTelemetry for tracing and monitoring.
• Collaborate with data teams on message flows and coordinate with the Postgres DB Expert on query optimization.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of Node.js backend development focused on microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with Node.js, Express.js, or NestJS.
• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and securing them with JWT/OAuth.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Familiarity with gRPC for high-performance inter-service communication.
• Experience implementing observability frameworks like OpenTelemetry.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL queries and performance tuning concepts.

Preferred Skills

• Demonstrated ability to design and scale services handling high-volume data.
