Description

You will own backend development and service deployment for the engineering team.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable backend services using NodeJS and TypeScript.
• Develop and deploy serverless functions and event-driven architectures on AWS Lambda.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API specifications and integration points.
• Maintain code quality through peer reviews, testing, and continuous integration practices.
• Monitor system performance and resolve production incidents efficiently.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional experience building backend systems with NodeJS.
• 7+ years of experience writing type-safe code using TypeScript in production environments.
• 1-2 years of experience deploying and managing infrastructure on AWS.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda for serverless computing.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and microservices patterns.
• Experience with modern JavaScript toolchains (npm, webpack, or similar).

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work hybrid in Hartford, CT, USA.
