Description

Own the full lifecycle of backend services, from architecture design to deployment and optimization.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, reliable services using Java or Kotlin within an event-driven architecture.
• Translate product requirements into user stories and technical solutions, ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and deploy services via Kubernetes.
• Maintain and optimize a service-oriented architecture supporting 100+ services in production.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams during sprint planning, code reviews, and backlog grooming.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of programming experience with modern tech stacks.
• 3-4+ years of hands-on experience with Java or Kotlin.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud services and DynamoDB.
• Experience building SOA or microservices-based applications.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architecture patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, specifically GitLab.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Temporal for workflow orchestration.
