Description

Technical Skills:

• 3–7 years of overall professional experience
• Experience developing microservices and cloud-native applications using Java/J2EE, REST APIs, Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, JPA (or similar ORM), and Spring Security
• Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, or JBehave
• Experience building and deploying services using Gradle, Maven, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform:
  • GCP experience is mandatory for offshore candidates
  • GCP is preferred for onshore candidates; experience with at least one cloud platform is mandatory
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.)

Soft Skills:

• Ability to design, develop, and implement custom software and database applications with limited oversight
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to lead design discussions and build strong working relationships
• A collaborative, team-first attitude with a "do what it takes" mindset to drive project success

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop elegant, high-performing code
• Uphold quality practices, including unit testing, code reviews, and test leadership
• Optimize applications to meet non-functional requirements
• Build and deploy components as part of the CI/CD pipeline
• Own end-to-end application delivery, coordinating with relevant teams for production deployment
• Monitor application health and KPIs, supporting triage of production issues as needed
• Troubleshoot complex data, feature, service, and platform issues, performing root cause analysis to proactively resolve problems
• Champion security best practices and promote a security-first culture within engineering
