Description

You will design and maintain high-concurrency microservices for production systems serving over 10,000 users.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable APIs using Python (FastAPI) and optionally GoLang, ensuring low-latency performance.
• Orchestrate high-volume I/O calls and manage asynchronous programming with async.io and web sockets.
• Implement message queues (Celery, Rabbit MQ, or AWS SQS) to handle background tasks and concurrency.
• Design and optimize data layers using Postgres, MongoDB, Databricks, or Iceberg.
• Architect microservices for Kubernetes, focusing on scaling strategies rather than just deployment.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience with no gaps or overlapping roles across companies.
• Deep expertise in Python and FastAPI; familiarity with Flask/Django is insufficient for this microservices focus.
• Experience with asynchronous programming, web sockets (socket.io), and high-concurrency request handling.
• Proficiency with message brokers such as Celery, Rabbit MQ, or AWS SQS.
• Strong database knowledge including Postgres, MongoDB, Databricks, or Iceberg.
• Understanding of Kubernetes internals for scaling microservices, not just DevOps deployment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical background.
