Description

You will build and maintain low latency services and scalable distributed systems. Lead the discovery phase for medium to large projects to define high level designs. Direct the work of small engineering teams consisting of 3 to 4 engineers. Drive end to end service implementations, data feed ingestion, and orchestration. Design and implement high performance ETL solutions for big data. Troubleshoot production issues and assess performance bottlenecks in Linux environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery phases to define high level designs for medium to large projects.
• Direct small engineering teams (3-4 engineers) during implementation.
• Drive end-to-end service implementations, data feed ingestion, and orchestration.
• Design and implement low latency services and high performance ETL solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and assess performance bottlenecks in Linux.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Java/J2EE and SpringBoot.
• Hands-on experience with Reactive Programming in Java.
• Experience with Kafka and event-based architecture.
• Knowledge of CQRS design patterns and Event Sourcing.
• Experience with L1/L2 caching mechanisms.
• Proficiency with Cassandra, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Experience building scalable, distributed systems in virtualized cloud environments.
• Solid DevOps skills including troubleshooting live applications and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field.
