Description

You will design, implement, and maintain server-side components for geospatial applications supporting Next Generation Network Priority Services and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable backend systems for geospatial data processing, storage, and retrieval.
• Integrate GIS databases, mapping APIs, and geospatial data sources to support location-based services.
• Build RESTful APIs and web services to connect frontend interfaces with backend infrastructure.
• Implement data validation, authentication, and access control to secure geospatial data and user information.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, GIS specialists, and data analysts to define API endpoints and data schemas.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a Back End Developer.
• Strong proficiency in server-side programming using Python, Java, or Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with spatial databases including PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
• Working knowledge of NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Experience designing, optimizing, and querying relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency with web frameworks such as Django, Flask, Spring Boot, or Express.js.
• Ability to build and document RESTful APIs using tools like Swagger or Postman.
• Proficiency with version control using Git.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, or PyTest.
