Description

Build and maintain data pipelines and backend services within Google Cloud Platform.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop elegant, high-performance code and implement custom software and database application capabilities.
• Build and deploy components using CI/CD processes including Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Gradle, or Maven.
• Own end-to-end application delivery and coordinate with teams for production deployment.
• Monitor application health and KPIs, performing root cause analysis to resolve production and operational issues.
• Ensure quality through unit testing, code reviews, and optimization for non-functional requirements.

Required Skills

• 3-5 years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proficiency in developing data pipelines using Dataflow.
• Experience integrating with Composer, Airflow, or other schedulers.
• Working knowledge of BigQuery and relational databases such as Spanner, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of OLTP and Data Warehouse data models.
• Experience working with ETL products and both structured and unstructured data.
• Competency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Maven, or Gradle.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with bulk loads and streaming load integration.
