Description

Own backend Java development and REST API implementation to support mainframe teams.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain backend Java code for servicing-based applications.
• Develop and manage REST APIs using JSON.
• Partner with frontend channel partners and digital teams to integrate services.
• Support deployments within GCP and AWS environments.
• Collaborate within a quasi-agile development methodology.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of extensive experience with Java backend development.
• Strong expertise in REST API design and implementation.
• Proficiency with JSON data formats.
• Experience using Git, GitHub, or Gitsource.
• Hands-on work with Jenkins for CI/CD.
• Experience with the Spring framework and Spring Boot.
• Competency with Kafka.
• Working knowledge of cloud platforms, specifically GCP.
• Proficiency with Eclipse IDE.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Maven.
• Knowledge of AWS data space environments.
