Description

You will develop and maintain backend systems for messaging platforms, including email, push, and in-app communications.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and fix products within a Java-based ecosystem.
• Design and architect scalable, cloud-native software implementations.
• Manage data pipelining using BigQuery and SQL.
• Mentor teammates to improve technical and leadership skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional agile teams to implement continuous delivery.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience programming in Java or Scala.
• Experience architecting, designing, and maintaining software on the Java platform.
• Proven ability to develop cloud-native applications on GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and concurrency.
• Experience running software in Linux environments.
• Proficiency with SQL and BigQuery for data pipelining.
• Knowledge of engineering practices including TDD, continuous delivery, and defensive programming.
• Experience building distributed and scalable systems.
• Ability to use metrics and monitoring as feedback loops for software improvement.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
