Description

You will develop and maintain Java-based applications supporting the Agency MBS trading desk.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deliver software processes for the trading desk.
• Drive new development and enhancements for existing applications.
• Collaborate with traders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, and deployment.
• Conduct code reviews and improve internal tools and infrastructure.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional experience in Java programming.
• Expert-level knowledge of object-oriented programming.
• Proficiency in multithreaded and concurrent programming.
• Experience with Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Microservices.
• Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments from a developer's perspective.
• Ability to work independently and communicate complex technical details effectively.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with relational databases.
• Knowledge of Angular or Python.
• Ability to read/understand C++, C#, and Perl for legacy migration.
