Own backend application development and integration using Java, SQL, and REST/SOAP APIs.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using object-oriented programming principles.
• Manage data persistence and queries using SQL and relational databases.
• Integrate systems via REST and SOAP APIs.
• Maintain code integrity using source control tools like Git.
• Debug, analyze, and resolve complex application issues.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience developing enterprise applications.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database).
• Deep understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
• Experience with source control tools, specifically Git.
• Proven knowledge of REST and SOAP API development.
• Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience migrating legacy Java/Struts/webapp applications to modern platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in government domains or exposure to Powerbuilder.
