Description

You will design and maintain scalable backend systems and data pipelines using Java, AWS, and Databricks.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and SOAP APIs using Java.
• Engineer data pipelines using Databricks and Scala.
• Integrate AWS services, specifically S3, for cloud-based data storage.
• Optimize backend systems for scalability, security, and performance.
• Develop unit and integration tests and troubleshoot production issues.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in backend development.
• Expertise in Java and Java web services (REST/SOAP API development).
• Hands-on experience with AWS services, including S3.
• Proficiency with Databricks for data engineering tasks.
• Experience with Scala and Parquet file formats.
• Strong command of Git for version control.
• Solid understanding of API security and cloud architecture.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python for data manipulation, automation, or scripting.
