Description

You will own the automation strategy for backend Java services, ensuring code quality across the full SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated test suites for Java Spring Boot applications and microservices.
• Perform manual testing and manage defects using JIRA.
• Write complex SQL queries for test data preparation and validation.
• Validate technical fixes and system health using Splunk analytics.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to support application maintenance and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of industry experience in Agile environments.
• 5+ years of hands-on Java coding experience.
• Proficiency with Cucumber/Gherkin, Selenium WebDriver, NodeJS, and Java.
• API automation experience using Java Spring Boot 2, RestAssured, GraphQL, or Postman.
• Experience with JMS messaging protocols such as AMQ, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Knowledge of MS Entity Framework or Spring JDBC.
• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins or JenkinsX.
• Proficiency with Git or Stash for source control.
• Experience with SQL Server and SQL Server Management Studio.

Preferred Skills

• Experience querying Couchbase databases.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container-based application deployment.
